#mmmay – the final days

I totally dropped off at the end there you guys.  I ended up painting the house like a mad fiend and didn’t even think about taking selfies!  I wore me-made of course, but no pics.  I’m so glad the painting is done though because my house has been half gray, half off-whitish/yellow (which you can see in the background of day 22’s picture), and I was starting to get used to it!!  Alright, jumping into what I wore what seems like so long ago now…

On day 27 I was finally able to visit Monaluna’s fabric shop which is quite local to me.  I was excited because her fabric is gorgeous and organic.  The shop was cozy and inviting, the young woman working there very friendly, lots of fun little gifts for sewists (I picked up some soap that smells amazing!), but really it’s all about the fabric!  I limited myself to a gorgeous poplin and two double gauze prints, and I’ll be sharing those soon because I absolutely can’t wait to sew with them.

I’ve been so busy with some very fun projects, and of course getting my girls ready for summer break.  Next week is the Lemon Drop sew-along, so if you’re interested in participating, the pre-sew along post can help you select fabrics and get you started.  It’s kind of a fun way to kick off summer, and there are some really cute pattern hacks I’ve been working on and can’t wait to share!

Have you ever participated in a sew-along?  It can help motivate me to finish a project in a realistic amount of time, especially like if I’ve been sitting on a pattern for awhile.  Plus the prizes never hurt either 😉
