What do you get a tween for the holidays? Besides books that is! Well, the Snappy Manicure Wallet is a great idea! What tween doesn’t like giving themselves manicures?
My cousin’s daughter is in that phase right now where she’s very conscious of her appearance. Her father is pretty much against make-up (maybe because I’m not there with my girls yet, but I don’t see the harm in a little make-up, of course I’m the product of the 80’s and 90’s and wore make-up and hoop earrings when I was 10), but an awesome mani/pedi never hurts! Also, the Snappy Manicure Wallet is a free pattern and a great way to use up scraps and fat quarters! I used some from my stash I was saving for who knows what, so I decided to use it for this.
This couldn’t have been any easier to make. I’ve never worked with a Noodle-head pattern, although I have coveted her patterns. After sewing this up, I will definitely be looking at more of her projects in the future!
It fit a variety of polish sizes well.
I also tucked a few mani/pedi supplies in just to show the zipper. I will be filling this with new items for the gift.
It closes up nicely when full too. I used a button from my stash instead of snaps or velcro. I’m really into stash busting right now. I’m running out of space for new fabric!
One gift down, many more to go!
Are you making any of your holiday gifts? Please share!! I love new ideas 🙂
