Liberty of London Hearts

Liberty Hearts

Isn’t she such a sweetheart?!  My cheeky little model.  This is our first post for Tie Dye Diva* on Fabric.com’s blog, How to Sew an Underlining, so hop on over and take a look.  Let me know what you think?!

Daffodils and Hearts

Fabric.com provided Tie Dye Diva with the fabric in exchange for a tutorial, so I was quite excited to have at it!  I loved sewing with a Liberty of London print that didn’t look traditionally “Liberty of London”, although I do love their florals!  I just couldn’t pass up those hearts though, and the colors are gorgeous.  The Brussels Washer linen for the capris is a rayon/linen blend, and so so luxurious to sew with!

I also played around with Illustrator.  I can see why some pattern designers would prefer to use the illustrations over photos in their patterns.  I personally don’t have a preference, whichever is clearer, but it was fun using illustrations for the tutorial.

I used Tie Dye Diva’s Daffodil Top* and Daffodil Capri* patterns and was quite happy with them for this project.  I’ll share more on those later, but go check out my underling tutorial!
