I just had to make another Anywhere Dress. My daughter loves them. I bought this adorable fabric summer before last because I loved the scallops and those colors are so cheerful.
They are so cheerful in fact that it made her want to play her air guitar! Her rockin’ out face.
I made it the same way as the blue and green dress, but this interlock fabric was a bit fussy. It would stretch easily while sewing, and since I didn’t use my walking foot when hemming the bottom, it ended up looking a little stretched out to me. I tried my best not to pull on it at all while sewing, but oh well. It’s still cute.
While my daughter was wearing it (and I started wondering if the fabric was upside down), the younger one went crazy over it. She kept hugging and squeezing her older sister and patting the dress, soooo…..
I had just enough fabric leftover to make See Kate Sew’s Viewfinder Tee in size 18 months. I used a pink knit for the neck and arm bindings. I didn’t top stitch anything since I didn’t want any stretching out, and it seems to lay just fine.
I’d had my eye on the regular pattern for awhile, but seriously, it’s sooo simple to make baby leggings without a pattern I couldn’t justify buying it. Well, that was until I loved the way these ones fit her! Haha! I’ll find any excuse to buy a pattern 🙂 In my defense, there were some pretty amazing deals last November!
Pardon the blurriness in some pics; I was rushing us because I had to leave for work, and as a result, they were laughing and running around like wild things. When I asked (begged) them to slow down, they turned on their slow-mo super hero pose. They crack me up!!
